FSFS Grumman G-44 Widgeon of AMPHIBIAN AIRWAYS LTD (Invercargill, NZ) OPERATED 1950-1961 TEXTURES: Harry Follas chinook@ihug.co.nz Grumman Widgeon AFX by Bill Black ZK-AVM, one of 2 Widgeons bought by Invercargill businessmen in 1950, to open up southern New Zealand, a land of rivers fiords and lakes. The airline was absorbed by Auckland's Tourist Air Travel in 1961. ZK-AVM went on to fly with Mount Cook Airlines and Sea Bee Air in Auckland. Following a period in Australia, the aircraft flies again in New Zealand skies today but in private hands. Controls: "/" works the gear. Flaps/throttle etc are as usual.
