=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= WinSPIRS v4.0: 3 1/2 Floppy Disk Installation =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= "Windisk4.exe" will create WinSPIRS 4.0 floppy installation diskettes. This will require (4) 3 1/2 inch formatted disks. Label each disk appropriately as disk1, disk2, disk3 and disk4. Follow the steps below to create (4) 1.44 MB floppy disks: 1. Label each 3 1/2 floppy disk appropriately. Example: disk 1, disk 2, disk 3 and disk 4. 2. Download "windisk4.exe" from ftp.silverplatter.com/software/winspirs4.0 3. After obtaining windisk4.exe, click on it to start the extraction process. 4. By default, windisk4.exe will create and extract disk1.exe, disk2.exe, disk3.exe and disk4.exe into c:\temp. ** NOTE: You may specify a different directory if needed. 5. Insert the disk labeled "disk1" into your floppy drive. 6. Next, click on c:\temp\"disk1.exe". This will extract the contents of disk1 to the floppy drive (a:) labeled disk1. 7. Continue with the same procedure for disk2, disk3 and disk4 using the appropriate labeled floppy disk for each. INSTALLING WinSPIRS from 3 1/2 floppy disk: 1. After creating 4 floppy disks, insert the floppy disk labeled "disk1" into your a:\ drive, click on "setup.exe" to initiate the installation of WinSPIRS 4.0 from floppy disk. 2. During the install process you will be prompted for the next disk, at this time you will insert "disk2" and specify "a:" for the next disk. Continue the installation until you have inserted al (4) disks and WinSPIRS completes it's installation.
